*Position: Assistant Director/Preschool Teacher* *Location: Learning to Learn Preschool & Childcare Center in Petaluma* *Requirements: * Must have at least 24 units of Early Childhood Education plus 6 units Administration. Work full time (40 hours/week). Have past experience working in a preschool with 2–5-year-olds. Strong curriculum planning experience using developmentally appropriate practices. Good writing skills and have basic computer skills. Leadership qualities by setting a good example while teaching. Good communication and organizational skills. *Duties: * Teach a group of children. Plan and supervise the curriculum. Oversee and supervise the staff. Write the monthly newsletters and calendars. Help keep the school organized and clean. Step in for the director when she is out of the school. Help order supplies. Communicate to parents to form a positive cooperative bond. Assist the director in planning bigger functions (Graduation, Mother’s Day Lunch, Father’s Day Lunch, Parent Night etc.) Work well with the owners to insure a positive relationship. We are looking for a talented experienced preschool teacher, who has experience supervising teachers and developing curriculum for 2- 5-year-olds. Our Assistant Director will be retiring and we need someone to be trained by her and then take on the roll. *Hours* are 7:30 – 4:30 Monday through Friday. *Benefits* includes choices of: · ½ paid Health insurance through Kaiser Permanente up to $379.00 · Paid Time Off · Paid Child Care, for immediate child age 2-5 years old · Retirement Plan · Paid Holidays *Wage* is to be determined by Education and Experience. Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
