Learning Links, by AbilityPath, is hiring for Inclusion Teachers at our Burlingame Location!

The Inclusion Teacher provides guidance and mentorship in educating children in an inclusive and/or special day class environment with an emphasis on cognition, behavior, social-emotional development, and kindergarten readiness. The Inclusion Teacher adapts the preschool curriculum to best support children with a variety of special needs, and collaborates with the preschool teaching team, co-Inclusion Teachers and families.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of inclusive preschool classroom and ensure overall health and safety of the program
  • Responsible for ongoing development, evaluation and oversight of the child centered, play based curriculum for children with special needs
  • Lead staff in supervision and guidance of children with special needs, ages 2 to 5 years old, planning and implementation of classroom activities.
  • Represent students and families in IEP meetings and develop educational goals for students 
  • Adapt weekly curriculum to ensure appropriate accommodations to lessons plans, classroom routine and learning environment
  • Assist Preschool Admin Team with coordinating IEP and private pay services, process to include development of appropriate goals, objectives for all children with special needs in the program
  • Partner with external districts and families to support development and implementation of Childs IEP
  • Conduct DRDP, ECERS reports, follow all Title 22 regulations, CARF standards, NPS compliance and CCL and CAL-OSHA standards
  •  Other duties as assigned

 

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s in Early Childhood Development
  • Minimum three years of experience working w/ children ages 3-5 in an inclusive environment preferred

 

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid California Driver’s License/ID 
  • Clean Driving Record (if applicable)
  • Proof of negative TB test results 
  • Verification of occupational physical clearance
  • Pass a criminal fingerprint clearance 
  • 18 years of age or job permit clearance
  • Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination first booster 

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY:
