Here at LearnWell, we've dedicated ourselves to making a life-changing impact on the 10 million students currently in the U.S. who live with some type of behavioral health need (depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, eating disorder, substance use). For over 26 years, we have provided on-site instructional services within the hospital setting, helping students to continue their academic progress during treatment and successfully reenter the classroom. LearnWell has a network of 180 dedicated educators that commit themselves daily to embracing our mission and positively impacting generations to come.
LearnWell is currently looking for a motivating and creative teachers to educate students who are being hospitalized. Do you want to influence the lives of children without having to worry about grading or administration? In this position, you will be part of a team whose main focus is always the students. In our flexible and creative environment, you are able to teach various subjects and focus on teaching instead of grading! Don't worry, our teachers are not expected to know all grade levels and subjects! We have a network of 200 talented educators company wide, and many other resources (such as our own curriculum for our teachers) to help you and your students be successful!
In this position, you will be teaching a small group of students in a behavioral treatment center. You will help these children to stay on track with their academics while they are unable to attend their traditional schools during treatment.
Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Teaching students in a small group setting
- Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction
- Working with children on their individual school curriculum
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies
- Updating daily attendance and creating daily session reports for each student
- Communicating with hospital staff and any corresponding district personnel
We are looking to add full and part-time teachers to the team! We offer healthcare benefits that include medical, dental, and vision to all full time teachers and part time teachers working at least 20 hours a week during the school year. Additional benefits include paid family leave options, 401K, employer sponsored life insurance policies, and annual grants for tuition reimbursement. Salary is $20-23/hour based on experience.
Qualifications:
- State issued teaching certification we can accept all subject areas and grade levels
- Bachelors degree
- Strong organizational skills
- Understanding of subject matter relevant to students need
