What are the responsibilities and job description for the City County Reporter position at Lee Enterprises?
The Billings Gazette is seeking a city/county reporter.
We’re in the largest metro area in Montana and have the region’s largest
newsroom, with a mix of smart young reporters and veterans.
Our newspaper has been named the best in the state six years
in a row. We coordinate our coverage with four affiliated newspapers statewide
and a four-person capital bureau, which allows our reporters time to dig deep.
But, being the best isn’t all we have to offer. Billings is
a growing city with a vibrant, walkable downtown featuring fine dining,
performing arts centers, live music venues, art galleries, and more than our
share of craft brew pubs. And, we have an international airport you could
literally walk to (although a $15 Uber ride would be less sweaty.) If playing
outdoors is your thing, we’ve also got mountains, rivers, dog parks, fly
fishing, hunting, cycling, hiking and skiing.
This is a full-time, Monday-through-Friday, guild position
with a minimum wage of $42K, and more with experience. We offer an excellent
benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, paid holidays and a
generous time off policy. We are an equal opportunity employer. You can see our
Web site at www.billingsgazette.com and learn more about our company at
www.lee.net
Please apply online at billingsgazette.com/workhere. Be sure
to include a cover letter, resume, links to clip (or clips) and three
