What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNA Home setting position at Lee Residential Care?
The CNA in this role would be responsible for 1-2 people in a home setting.
The CNA is responsible for supporting patients with various injuries, illnesses and disabilities. Their duties include helping patients bathe and maintain proper hygiene, feeding patients and ensuring they take their medication and assessing their patients’ vital signs.
We require that all staff become trained and receive their DSP certification, Certified Residential Medication Aide, First Aid/CPR, and Safety Care. We provide all trainings we require. It is expected that you attend classes as you are scheduled for them.
We are mandated to have record of Influenza and Covid-19 immunity or proof of vaccination.
The Certified Nurse's Aide responsibilities are to provide support and skill building activities to persons with severe and prolonged mental illness and intellectual disabilities, treating all Consumers in their care with dignity and respect. Teaching independent living skills per treatment plan, includes but is not limited to.
- Adult living skills – personal hygiene, housekeeping, meal preparation and budgeting.
- Social integration skills – communications, conflict resolution and social interaction.
- Community integration skills – resource identification and utilization.
Certified Nurse's Aides (CNA’s) objectively document on appropriate forms: incidents, accidents, daily progress toward goals, medication monitoring, changes in Consumers’ health status and behavior patterns, and makes referrals as appropriate.
- CNA’s provide assistance with personal care including bathing, dressing and feeding as appropriate.
- CNA’s administer medication per guidelines in accordance with training.
- CNA’s develop and encourage Consumers’ integration into the community. CNA’s transport Consumers to community locations including (but not limited to) banks, libraries, physicians’ offices, stores and churches as appropriate.
- CNA’s provide supportive problem solving activities to assist in developing and maintaining supports as necessary.
- CNA’s use active listening techniques to provide emotional support conducive to Consumers’ growth and wellbeing.
- CNA’s identify Consumer needs and develops a treatment plan with administrator to address them.
- CNA’s attend staff meetings, supervision and in-service training as scheduled.
- CNA’s perform other related duties as required.
- CNA’s utilize QBS Safety Care techniques to maintain safety for the individuals being served.
Hourly Pay: Based on experience
Salary : $16 - $18
