Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market conditions
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement process improvements
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of production planning and materials management
- Ability to analyze pricing trends and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers
- Proficient in using AS400, E-commerce platforms, and Oracle EBS for procurement activities
- Familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems
- Excellent contract management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of logistics processes for efficient delivery of goods
