JOB SUMMARY: Provide cardiothoracic surgical assessment and therapy for patients requiring cardiothoracic surgery services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent.
Completion of general surgery residency and CT surgery fellowship OR completion of an integrated I-6 CT surgery residency.
Licensure/Certification:
Applicable medical license and DEA certificate.
Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery.
BLS from the American Heart Association
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides a full range of cardiothoracic surgical care to patients of Legacy Health. Such care is provided in an office, outpatient, or inpatient setting and includes the full and expected mix of patient problems and surgical approaches.
Provides consultation on cardiothoracic surgical issues.
Completes medical records, coding and billing schedules and forms, and other needed paperwork in a timely fashion. Works with other specialists (radiology, cardiology) to develop a comprehensive Legacy cardiovascular surgery program.
