We are looking for a tenured Accounting Clerk to join our team in Columbus! The ideal candidate will perform a range of general clerical, accounting and billing coordinator functions under the direct supervision of the CFO. (This candidate will be required to work in person).
We believe success in this position requires someone with strong accounting and financial skills, can communicate professionally, is organized, manage their time effectively, and have excellent attention to detail.
What You’ll Do
- Create and track purchase orders.
- Check, verify and process invoices.
- Sort, code and enter accounts payable data.
- Analyze discrepancies and unpaid invoices.
- Maintain vendor files (including all applicable subcontractor paperwork).
- Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
- Prepare and submit customer invoices.
- Enter invoices into customer invoicing web sites as applicable.
- Update customer files as needed.
- Compile and submit quarterly MMA reports.
- Maintain accounting records by making copies; filing documents.
- Protects organization’s values by keeping information confidential.
- Liaise with other departments / customers / vendors.
- Participate in special projects as directed by management.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the CFO.
About You
- 1 years of experience using QuickBooks.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Strong, professional communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work against deadlines and handle multiple projects at once.
- Ability to effectively interact with personnel at all organization levels.
