What are the responsibilities and job description for the A/R Clerk position at Legacy Sports USA?
We are looking for a skilled Accounts Receivable (AR) Accounting Clerk to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks. AR Accounting Clerk responsibilities include data entry, reconciling multiple accounts, pulling daily reports from various merchant accounts and creating journal entries to import into NetSuite.
A successful AR Accounting Clerk should be familiar with all accounting procedures and have a flair for numbers, good customer service skills, excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), and great attention to details.
Responsibilities
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
- Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
- Prepare general ledger postings and statements
- Reconcile applicable merchant accounts in a timely manner
- Provide assistance and support to all accounting personnel
- Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
- Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
- Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
- Constantly update job knowledge
Skills
- Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable clerk
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
- Advanced knowledge in MS Office, databases, and accounting software
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers
- Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
- Data entry and word processing skills
- Well organized
- Ability to sit in front of a computer looking at a computer screen for long periods of time
- Ability to work under the supervision of an Accounting Manager
High school degree required
Associate degree, relevant certification, or 2 years’ experience is a plus
