Team Lead

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists in overseeing the day-to-day operations and keeping associates focused and motivated to complete production goals
• Assess relevant training needs for associates
• Keep up to date on relevant skill and qualification levels required by associates for effective performance and circulate requirements and relevant information to the teams as appropriate
• Promotes safety through established safety and incentive programs
• Responsible for ensuring all tools and materials are in designated areas at the start of each shift
• Responsible for conducting associate kick-off meetings
• Responsible for daily execution of production plans
• Direct associates toward achieving production goals in the absence of the Supervisor
• Responsible for tracking key metrics on an hourly and daily basis
• Monitor and report on activities, costs, performance, etc. as required
• Abides by all OSHA rules and Legacy Supply Chain Services safety practices
• May perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing and repacking for shipments as needed
• Ensure area Housekeeping requirements are met
• Performs additional duties as directed

EQUIPMENT, TOOLS AND WORK AIDS:

• Required power industrial equipment, scanner, computers or other technology needed to perform the job

COMMUNICATION:

• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language (English) used in the workplace.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Two year of warehouse experience or equivalent.
• Strong personal and communication skills
• Knowledge of warehouse processes and procedures
• PIT Certified; must be able to operate equipment in assigned area
• Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in directing and motivating others
• Commitment to excellence and high standards
• Basic competence in area’s duties and tasks
• Competent written communication, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels
• Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions

The employee must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 50lbs unassisted.
