Legacy Transportation Services is seeking a qualified HR Generalist for a local position out of our San Jose office.
Skills required:
- Provides administrative support to HR functions, including recruiting, interviewing, employee labor relations, compensation, time, new hire orientation, EEOC, events and employee records.
- Processes HR applications, including enrollment and employee applications, maintains attendance, employment/training records and compiles statistics for various HR management reports.
- Posts job ads, organizes resumes, applications, schedules interviews
- Conducts pre-employment screening interviews, checks references, and confers with management staff on lead candidates
- Ensures background and reference checking and new employee documentation is completed and assists in orienting new employees to the Company.
- Responds to routine questions on HR policy and serves as a point of contact for new employee questions.
Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, as to communicate with employees, HR staff, managers and group presentations/meetings.
- Organized, accurate, thorough and able to plan work activities to use time effectively.
- Adept at problem solving, identifying issues in a timely manner
