Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of inventory, order fulfillment, and overall warehouse processes. This is a key leadership role that requires strong supervisory skills and the ability to effectively manage and create a team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse efficiency and productivity
- Supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate inventory needs and ensure timely order fulfillment
- Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory
- Manage budgets related to warehouse operations, including labor costs, equipment maintenance, and supplies
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movement and maintain accurate records
- Implement best practices for materials management, including proper storage, handling, and disposal procedures
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in warehouse management practices
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of order fulfillment processes and materials management principles
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
- Proficient in budgeting and cost control measures
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software applications
- Knowledge of NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) operations is a plus
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Strong problem-solving abilities with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
