Legend Biotech is seeking Finance Manager as part of the Finance team based in Somerset, NJ.
Role Overview
Performing in a fast-paced environment, the Finance Manager will be a key member of Legend’s FP&A organization. This role will have unique exposure to various levels of the business through participation in cost improvement initiatives, forecasting and reporting, and consolidated collaboration reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Finance manager will play a highly visible role in leading the financial planning process by partnering with Legend’s leadership team across multiple R&D functions in support of the company’s major collaboration program.
- Key tasks for collaboration support include developing and managing collaboration budget, quarterly forecasting and actuals as well as long range planning.
- Support business unit leaders and Joint Development Committee in managing collaboration spend by having regular touch points with collaboration Finance partners to perform financial deep dive.
- Partnering with IT and Human Resources in developing and managing collaboration time reporting in a timely and accurate manner.
- Working closely with our collaboration Finance partners in managing regular Finance Working Group meetings by documenting regular meeting minutes, updating Q&A for the financial results and addressing any ad-hoc requests as needed.
- Prepare executive level presentation and provide insightful analysis for key stakeholders.
- Participate in internal and external audit reviews and process walkthroughs as needed.
- Designing, developing and implementing methods and strategies to continually improve processes.
- Support month-end close activities as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required; a major in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Professional certification (CPA/CMA) required.
- MBA or advanced degrees preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive finance or accounting experience.
- FP&A or a business partnering experience in a matrix environment.
- Prior life sciences industry experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of SOX financial controls on Accounting and Reporting processes is preferred.
- Ability to partner and collaborate with all levels of the organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to turn financial information into insights for our business partners.
- Complex modeling and forecasting capabilities with focus on tracking key assumptions.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel & PowerPoint) required; Excellent data management and reporting skills required.
- Knowledge of common business and financial drivers, financial statement analysis, and deep-dive analysis.
- Experience in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis and project management.
- Experience in ERP systems (SAP, Onestream, etc) strongly preferred.
