YMS is seeking an energetic, and motivated individual to join our growing sales team to develop, deepen, and grow relationships with our customer base.
Position Summary:
Available opportunity in the following states: MN, WI, ND, SD, NE, KS, IA, MO, OH, PA, VA, NC, SC
The YMS Account Manager will be responsible for prospecting, acquiring, and building YMS base of distribution retail and dealership partners within assigned territory selling YMS products, including servicing and training potential/newly acquired retailers on product benefits and usage. Sales efforts to be supported by strategic marketing plans and product trainings. This position will promote the three pillars of YMS GROWTH, PROFITABILITY, and CULTURE.

What will your day be like?
- Drive business growth in assigned region calling on and building business with new retailers and dealers, establishing a recurring book of business, to achieve territory revenue and profit targets
- Own the entire sales cycle from cold calling and initial retailer engagement to selling products and managing the retailer and dealer
- Maintain a high-level of product knowledge & develop strong relationships to become a consultant with prospective/acquired retailers and dealers overcoming market challenges and positioning the value of YMS products
- Train on and present product information, application methods, and data to retailers, dealers, and growers
- Develop business plans to strategically target retailers and dealers in assigned territory forecasting future sales and budgets
- Leverage and execute lead generation campaigns and research trials as appropriate
- Structure weekly/monthly sales efforts to achieve business plans and territory target
- Anticipate territory needs regularly engaging marketing, customer service, and other departments to share market trends and prepare for future territory growth
- Facilitate business relationships contributing to public relations
- Lead participation of YMS efforts in local trade shows and events
- Populate customer relationship management (CRM) tool on weekly basis
- Assist with returns, settlements, and any product quality issues that may arise
- Manage territory inventory
- Position trial product and plots
- Manage territory budget

- Minimum work experience of 5 years full time in Agriculture industry or in ag retail preferred but not required
- Minimum education of BA or BS degree in Agriculture related field or equivalent work experience
- Strong communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills
- Proven ability to develop deep working relationships
- Ability to clearly articulate key product benefits and selling points based on customer needs
- Proven persuasion and negotiation skills
- Effective time management and organization skills to succeed in fast-paced environment
- Proven track record in business-to-business sales environment
- Ability to work with and establish rapport with key decision makers and their sales team
- Efficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) & CRM systems
- Maintain a Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with ability to travel long distances
- Experience in lead generation and qualification a plus
- Strong understanding of biological technologies as related to agriculture a plus
- Is a team player who works well as a member of a group
- Self-motivated and inspired to perform without outside help
- Authorized to work in the United States
Additional Information
Work Environment
This job operates in a remote office environment located in the assigned area. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, typical hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional earlier start times, evening and/or weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
