What are the responsibilities and job description for the Poker Dealer position at Legends Casino Hotel?
Poker Dealer is responsible for providing and promoting superior guest service, guest satisfaction, and compliance with established policies and procedures. A poker dealer will be knowledgeable of all aspects of all Poker Games. They are responsible for revenue collection and game control.

- Conducts game of poker, according to departmental procedures.
- Deals assigned games according to departmental policies and procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining poker table bank.
- Collects house revenue.
- Controls pace of the game.
- Notifies Floor Supervisor of any irregularities noted in guest play or other transactions during shift.
- Promotes positive guest relations.
- Has friendly, attentive, interaction with guests, co-workers and is courteous and professional at all times.
- Resolves any guest complaints or concerns, or direct them to the proper supervisor.
- Dress in assigned uniform and be reliable and prompt when reporting to work.
- Responsible for safeguarding all casino assets in assigned area. (Includes but not limited to equipment and cards)
- Communicates all necessary Title 31 documentation generated, during a shift, to the Shift Supervisor and/or Dual Rate.
- Dealing effectively with guest problems, complaints and disputes, while courteously answering questions and inquiries from guests.
- Maintaining awareness of promotions and special events and communicating this information to team members and guests.
- Being able to explain and interpret rules of games and betting limits to guest.
- Constant awareness of environment and surroundings while maintaining proper housekeeping of assigned area. (Keeping tables, floors and podiums free from debris)
- Organize, plan and prioritize by developing specific goals and accomplishing tasks.
- Builds relationships inside and outside of their department / team to improve ways of working and provide a great guest experience.
- Models for the team, a strong work ethic and is visible, available and present for the guest and their team.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED FOR POSITION: High School Diploma or G.E.D required. Minimum of two years experience as a Poker Dealer with knowledge, or the ability to obtain knowledge, of the (4) core games and demonstrate ability to deal each game required (Core games are Limit Texas Holdem, No Limit Texas Holdem, 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo, and Omaha Hi/Lo). Knowledge and dealing experience in all games strongly preferred. The ability to obtain a “Class A” license with Y.N.G.C.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to sit for extended length of time. Must have manual and finger dexterity for operation of computer, equipment and necessary paperwork relevant to poker dealer operations. The position requires that all duties relevant to the position be performed in a tobacco smoke filled environment for extended periods of time.
SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR POSITION: Good dexterity, memory and exceptional math skills. Have an outgoing positive personality. Be able to follow directions and cooperate as a team. Candidate must be willing to share knowledge to other team members to improve guest experience. Must have good grooming habits, neat appearance and demonstrate good manners. Must be able to differentiate and follow specific instructions.
