Electrical Maintenance

Walk-On Products, a division of Leggett & Platt Flooring, located in Salisbury, NC is searching for an Electrician to work in our Maintenance department. The electrician will successfully install, manage, and repair electrical systems and components of industrial machinery and equipment while following electrical codes, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications.

As an Electrician you will take direction from the Maintenance Supervisor to assist in completing projects that will improve current processes in the manufacturing of carpet cushions.

So, what will you be doing as an Electrician?

• Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on plant machinery and electrical systems that are generated through work orders.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance on machinery and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems for plant machinery and electrical systems.
• Use various machines, hand tools, and power tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Maintain equipment and perform basic repairs when needed.
• Periodically check products to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolve any identified problems and alert the manager.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have the following:

• Have at least 2 years of Electrical Maintenance experience.
• Ability to safely install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical/electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Ability to replace faulty electrical components of machines, such as relays, witches, and motors, and position sensing devices using hand tools.
• Ability to diagnose and repair or replace faulty electronic components.
• Ability to diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
• Ability to follow manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints using hand tools and test equipment to connect power supply wires to machines and equipment.
• Experience with welding or fabricating is a plus.
• Available to work on required Saturdays.
