Position Overview:
Legion Creative seeks an experienced and innovative Senior Creative Strategist to join our Social, Digital, and 360 Marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing social and digital strategies across various platforms and a passion for pushing creative boundaries. As a Senior Creative Strategist, you will work closely with the Creative Director to develop impactful strategies that maximize engagement, build brand identity, and ensure the successful execution of integrated marketing campaigns.
In this role, you will collaborate on new business pitches, oversee social strategy development, and lead campaign execution. You will also mentor junior strategists and community managers, fostering a culture of innovation and thought leadership within the agency. You will play a crucial role in challenging both internal teams and clients to think bigger, driving creative solutions that align with Legion Creative's high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Business / Creative Development
- Collaborate with leadership and the Creative Director on new business pitches, developing social tactics for clients, and eventually leading your own social-focused pitches with minimal oversight.
- Develop, write, and define social media strategies for new business pitches alongside the Creative Director.
- Plan, organize, and lead brainstorms for new business pitches, and mid-campaign ideation, taking leadership initiative.
- Ability to oversee campaigns from a strategic perspective, ensuring that asset execution aligns with the original pitch and objectives.
- Support the Creative Director in preparing brainstorming materials as needed.
- Attend brainstorming sessions, offering platform innovations, social insights, and opportunities for all campaigns.
- Help build and expand the CM and social offerings at Legion Creative, identifying organic growth opportunities and campaigns for the agency to pursue.
Team Leadership Mentorship
- Work closely with team members to identify, coach, and train them to think more strategically about audience engagement and social strategy.
- Oversee the career development and mentorship of CMs, coordinators, and writers, with a focus on engagement and community management. Work with the Creative Director to set goals and objectives for each team member, offering support and troubleshooting as needed.
- Foster thought leadership across the agency, inspiring teams to think differently and more creatively in how social is integrated into campaigns.
- Actively engage across all campaigns at Legion Creative, identifying opportunities and sharing insights with relevant teams.
- Lead by example, being a proactive communicator across all teams. Ensure that all project deliverables are met on time without needing to be chased. This cross-functional role requires working collaboratively with account and creative teams to keep everyone updated and manage time effectively.
Innovation
- Bring first-to-market ideas to the team, spotting opportunities for clients and setting clear goals to drive innovation within the agency.
- Collaborate with creative director and Social Director to introduce new engagement strategies and innovative ideas for clients.
- Lead internal discussions on emerging platform features and trends, working with account leads to demonstrate how these can be applied to client campaigns.
- Partner with leadership and creative directors to create customized, first-to-market opportunities for clients, prototyping as necessary.
Client Leadership
- Build strong relationships with clients, both AOR and project-based, providing high-level strategic social insights and helping the accounts team manage client expectations.
- Position yourself as the Senior Creative Strategist at Legion Creative, fostering trust and open communication with clients, and being available for strategic counsel as needed.
- Lead client calls around social strategies and audience insights, positioning yourself as a thought leader in this space.
- Understand client interests and internal goals to ensure Legion Creative's social strategies align effectively with their objectives.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in social, digital, and integrated marketing, with a proven track record of building successful campaigns in the entertainment or creative industries.
- Skills: Strong leadership and team mentorship abilities, expertise in social media platforms and digital marketing strategies, and experience with integrated 360 marketing.
- Tools: Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Trello) and analytics platforms.
- Sector Experience: Experience in entertainment, digital content, or creative agency settings, with a focus on strategy development and client management.
Salary:
Salary starting at $120,000, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits
