GENERAL PURPOSE The Business Development Manager effectively leads, develops and oversees the cross-brand strategy for Digital Signage (DS) initiative as we pursue new and existing business opportunities in this market segment. Responsible for achieving revenue, profit and expense targets for the DS initiative. This position is the DS champion providing leadership for the initiative across Legrand Brands in coordination with Brand GM, sales, marketing, engineering and operations. The Business Development Manager is expected to create, maintain and drive strategy to increase sales, marketing and product innovation while actively participate in cross-functional initiatives aligned with those strategies. DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Achieve defined sales, profit and expense targets associated with DS initiative. Actively define, lead and manage the business strategy and direction for AVD within the DS market. Identify opportunities to penetrate and grow new and existing business and then coordinate within brand’s product, marketing, and sales teams to execute. Manage all aspects of an existing product category to maximize identified product sales to worldwide markets while meeting profit objectives. Build and strengthen relationships with key players/decision makers our major customers and target strategic partners. Actively lead strategic DS cross-brand solutions direction in conjunction with brand product managers based on market demands, technology trends and competitive field. Work as a team to define and execute strategy, establishing AVD solutions positioning and market messages. Effectively define and present information to executive management team regarding performance, plans and projections on DS initiative Be a thought-leader for the AVD DS solutions relative to developing and sustaining competitive advantage. Represent Legrand at trade shows, trade association and partner meetings to promote cross-brand solutions within DS market segment. Collaborate with the sales team to foster teamwork and achieve goals, while working in conjunction with individual brands Product Management, Product Development and Marketing teams. Consistently support compliance by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, and the Company’s policies and procedures. Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace. Cooperate in safety programs, initiatives, and investigations. Preferred Qualifications: Previous work experience in areas relevant to the assigned technology MBA or equivalent Experience with and passion for innovative activities and mindsets such as Design Thinking WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required (for the majority of the working day) to sit and make coordinated movements of the fingers for data entry on a keyboard.
