GENERAL PURPOSE
The Inside Account Representative is responsible for account relationships by providing a high level of customer satisfaction with key influencers and decision makers. Inside Account Representatives partner with field sales to help drive sales initiatives, business development activities, and being first point of contact for the given accounts. Inside Account Representatives need to be team oriented and able to work cross-functionally to maximize the customer experience. Inside Account Representatives will also utilize training and growth opportunities offered through Legrand to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the Legrand AV Division products and services, current trends within the commercial audiovisual industry, and job specific skill development. As part of the Sales Effectiveness team, working closely with Sales, Sales Operations, Customer Intelligence (CRM), Business Development and other CX teams, to facilitate and improve the overall customer experience, will be key to driving success within the commercial team.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Act as a liaison, provide product information and resolve any emerging problems that our customers’ might face with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Identifying and assessing customers’ needs to achieve an amazing customer experience.
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve customers’ issues as they arise.
  • Support and create a partnership with the outside sales team to create an extraordinary customer experience for the external customer.
  • Collaborate and work closely with sales teams and other cross-functional teams on opportunities to optimize and implement go-to-market plans.
  • Understand Legrand AV capabilities to effectively support and promote all Legrand AV solutions to customers.
  • Identify training issues and opportunities for improving the customer experience.
  • Manage time, priorities, and outside sales expectations to meet and exceed sales objectives.
  • Utilize available Legrand AV resources and training to develop technical knowledge, sales skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Participates in or manages department/cross-functional projects as needed.
  • Assists with the creation, development, and implementation of processes and procedures.
  • Develops, communicates and ensures adherence to established company policies and procedures.
  • Consistently supports compliance by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, and the Company’s policies and procedures
  • Understands workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace. Cooperate in Safety Programs, initiatives, and investigations

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Outstanding collaboration and interpersonal skills; professional presence and behavior with ability to handle confidential information

  • Outstanding listening, comprehension and clear, concise and grammatically sound oral and written communication skills
  • Strong decision-making skills and action-orientation

  • Proven ability to make sound decisions to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage several projects at one time while providing high attention to details and excellent follow-through skills
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
  • High School Diploma or post-secondary education with a focus in sales, marketing, communications, business, or technical field; or a combination of relevant education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, Communications or related degree.
  • 1-2 years of successful account management, customer service and or industry related experience.
  • Understanding of the commercial AV industry and Legrand AV integration partners.
  • Proficient in the use of SAP.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required (for the majority of the working day) to sit and make coordinated movements of the fingers for data entry on a keyboard. Duties will occasionally require the employee to be able to reach above shoulder level, reach below knee level, bend, stoop, squat/kneel, lift, push or pull.
  • General office environment.
  • Long-distance or air travel as needed – not to exceed 10% travel.
