The Leidos Health group has an opening for a Research Survey Technology Manager to support an NIH customer conducting one of the largest longitudinal studies to date. This is an exciting opportunity to use your research survey experience helping the NIH mission.
Primary Responsibilities
Support scalable integration, implementation, delivery, and data ingest of Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI), Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI), Audio Computer-assisted Self-Interviewing (ACASI), and Pencil and Paper Interviewing (PAPI) methods for longitudinal research. Primary responsibilities are likely to include the following:
Collaborating with matrixed research teams to understand project requirements and provide technical expertise for the development of computer-assisted interviewing tools and survey instruments.
Providing technical support for the implementation of CATI, CAPI, ACASI, and PAPI survey instruments and ensuring that they are properly configured and integrated with other research tools.
Developing and maintaining scripts and software tools to support the collection, management, and analysis of survey data.
Troubleshooting technical issues related to survey instruments and data collection processes and providing timely and effective solutions.
Working with data management teams to develop data quality assurance procedures and protocols for the cleaning, coding, and analysis of survey data.
Assisting with the development of training materials and providing training and technical support to survey interviewers and data managers.
Participating in the design and implementation of data security protocols to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of survey data.
Staying up to date with advances in computer-assisted survey methods, software tools, and data management techniques, and sharing knowledge and best practices with research teams.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Science, Information Systems, or a related field and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Master's degree with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience in designing, implementing, and supporting computer-assisted survey tools and platforms for research, including CATI, CAPI, ACASI, and PAPI methods.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and experience with software development tools such as Git.
Familiarity with data management and analysis tools such as SPSS, SAS, and/or Stata.
Experience in working with longitudinal data sets and research data management practices.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in providing technical support and training to end-users, including survey interviewers and data managers.
Familiarity with survey research methodologies and best practices, including sampling techniques and questionnaire design.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting NIH-funded research.
Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations, including HIPAA.

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
