Job Description:
The Defense Group at Leidos is seeking a Material Control Supervisor for the Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Support Program. The ATE Support program provides automated test capability for Circuit Assemblies of the PATRIOT, THAAD, and other systems. Customers include the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command (AMCOM), NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA), and Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The Material Control Supervisor leads a small Material Control team responsible for the flow of raw materials and finished goods from receipt at our warehouse, to production, and shipment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead, train, delegate, and review the work of the Material Control team.
- Use Costpoint Materials Management applications (receiving, issue, and inventory functions).
- Inspect material upon receipt for damage-in-transit; verify goods received against receipt documentation.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Operations Manager, Material Planner, Hardware Engineer) for assistance when evidence of damage is present or material discrepancies are discovered.
- Process goods receipt in Costpoint; physically store goods in selected location.
- Issue material from Costpoint to Manufacturing Orders (MO) or to a Project; physically move goods from selected storage location to MO or designated project.
- Enter cost or quantity adjustments in Costpoint as required.
- Process location transfers in Costpoint; physically move corresponding material from losing storage location to gaining storage location.
- Manage Cycle Counts using Costpoint – create physical counts, print count sheets, assign count teams, enter count data; submit count sheets to Corporate Inventory Accounting Team; conduct causative research as necessary.
- Participate in Annual Inventory Coordination event held by Corporate Inventory Accounting Team.
- Run Costpoint reports and inquiries as required (inventory transaction history, reservation pick lists, stock status, part inventory, serial/lot information).
- Interface with Corporate SMEs to resolve Costpoint anomalies with material transactions.
- Package and crate materials and finished goods for shipment to customer locations.
- Prepare shipping documentation (DD Form 1149, Certificate of Conformity) and provide Notice of Availability to customer stakeholders to coordinate transportation.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and 5 or more years of prior relevant experience.
- Active DoD Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
- Experience using material management applications within an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Able to resolve complex problems and issues that arise by applying prior experiences and organizational knowledge.
- Knowledge of packing and shipping requirements, experience with preparing finished goods for shipment, and preparing shipping documents.
- Very good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to lead small teams.
- Able to visually inspect items for completeness or damage.
- Able to safely lift minimum of 25 lbs.
- Fluent in the English language including the ability to read, write, and comprehend relevant logistics documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree and 5 or more years of prior relevant experience.
- Active DoD Secret security clearance.
- 2 or more years of experience using Costpoint material management applications.
- Experience leading small teams in a warehouse environment.
- Material handling equipment experience.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of ITAR and export control requirements relative to shipments of finished goods.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $48,750.00 - $75,000.00 - $101,250.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
