The Civil Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Material Planner to work in our Ladson, SC facility. As a member of the Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) team, you will be joining a diverse and dedicated group who are excited about producing industry leading screening technology. Our new Ladson, SC facility will produce a comprehensive suite of fully automated and integrated products for aviation, shipping ports, border crossings, and critical infrastructure customers. These systems provide threat detection by screening baggage, cargo, and people at checkpoints around the world.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is seeking a position in a dynamic environment. Under moderate supervision, the Material Planner is responsible for activities that span the entire planning and procurement cycle.
The Challenge:
- Conduct inventory/material analysis and submit Purchase Requisitions for material requirements in support of manufacturing and service needs.
- Work with internal customers and stakeholders to ensure inquiries are addressed for service orders, projects or programs.
- Research and communicates production and delivery schedules.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for a particular product line in regards to lifecycle, end of life status, material distribution and demand for both manufacturing and service.
- Conduct bill of material review and analysis.
- Work with Product Line Management, Service Technical Support and Sustaining Engineering on end of life (EOL) item lifecycle.
- Maintain reports and monitor material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory sequences.
- Support the Quickbase purchase requisition process, monitors progress and communicates the proper routing throughout the materials management and sourcing process.
- Conducts follow-up with buyers, planners and requestors regarding completion of open requisitions, rework or updates as required.
- Coordinate product requirements planning with Service partners.
What Sets You Apart:
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience in material planning, manufacturing or logistics analysis or Master's degree with 2 years experience.. Will consider additional years of working experience in lieu of a degree.
- Strong Microsoft Office knowledge and skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Great organization and communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Positive attitude and a willingness to progress into tasks of greater responsibility
- Must be a US Citizen

Pay Range:
Pay Range $59,150.00 - $106,925.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
