Job Description

JOB IS LOCATED IN NORTHERN IL. COMPANY PROVIDES RELOCATION.

Premier flexible packaging printing and converting company in northern IL is growing. Due to client demand the company is hiring Printing & Converting Managers for 2nd & 3rd shifts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Direct and lead the production activities on the 2nd or 3rd shifts including printing, laminating, slitting, converting and quality departments.
  • Schedule crews to meet maximum efficiency.
  • Oversee Continuous Improvement Methods and stress the importance of adhering to quality standards.
  • Assist production personnel as needed.
  • Staff development.
  • Promote a safe work environment.
  • Communicate to employees company goals and how to meet and/or exceed the objectives.

Qualifications include:

  • Minimum 7 - 10 years' experience in flexible packaging printing operations.
  • Minimum 3 years' leadership experience in flexographic printing.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience using Continuous Improvement Methods that have improved production efficiencies. Lean Mfg, Six Sigma, 5S, Root Cause etc.
  • Excellent communication skills with manufacturing personnel and peer managers.
  • Able to communicate the importance and value of using quality systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • PC proficient.
  • Able to work a 2nd or 3rd shift.

Starting salary range $80,000 - $100,000 benefits, 401k match and relocation assistance.
