           Grand Village Assisted Living and Memory Care

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for managing overall community operations and leading by example with regard to customer service, employee relations and quality assurance while maintaining compliance with Leisure Living Management policies and applicable regulations. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Marketing

  • Develop relationships with community-based referral sources
  • Participate in local professional organizations
  • Conduct community tours for prospective residents and families, vendors and referral sources
  • Work with Director of Sales and Marketing to understand competitive pressures and to define a strategic marketing plan
  • Host events for the greater community

Leadership

  • Oversee and ensure each department is running efficiently and effectively
  • Coordinate and participate in recruiting and training department leads
  • Communicate goals and expectations with each department lead and hold them accountable
  • Support department leads with employee communications
  • Conduct performance evaluations of department leads and work with the home office team to provide additional training as needed
  • Address and respond to complaints in a timely manner
  • Ability to inspire staff through consistent leadership, supervision and coaching
  • Promote positive relationships with residents, staff and visitors

Compliance

  • Maintain compliance with State of Michigan licensing rules and Resident Rights
  • Perform routine rounds at community to ensure compliance with LLM policies and safety standards and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Develop relationship with licensing consultant and insurance providers and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Conduct investigations and implement corrective actions as needed

Business Administration

  • Manage annual budget in conjunction with department leads
  • Monitor trends and prepare reports to meet ongoing requirements
  • Coordinate resident admission process
  • Conduct care conferences in conjunction with department leads to communicate resident status and changes as they occur
  • Ensure all revenue is consistently captured and properly communicated
  • Perform final review of payroll and payables

Perform any other duties as requested within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the job. May be required to assist at sister communities upon request.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in an assisted living, independent living, hospital or long-term care facility is strongly preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

 

Certificates and Licenses

Must have CPR/First Aid certification or obtain within thirty (30) days of hire.


Computer Skills

Must have demonstrable knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office in a Windows environment, with a capacity to master company specific software.
