QC Manager

Job Title: Quality Control Supervisor

Department: Quality

Reports To: Operations Manager

Job Summary: To oversee daily functions of lab personnel in the Quality Department. To monitor finished product Quality Graders, and Line Leads on all job functions and responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Promotes job safety.

· Assure compliance to quality standards through effective supervision of Quality lab personnel.

· Understand and interpret product specifications for all quality attributes.

· Understand and interpret all Quality Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.

· Research and answer customer complaints as directed by Operations Manager.

· Maintain compliance to customer specifications and requirements.

· Provide leadership to Quality personnel while promoting cooperation between other departments.

· Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving problems and concerns.

· Responsible for on-going training of staff, planning, assigning and directing work.

· Conduct employee performance appraisals and performance improvement process for the department.

· Prepare and conduct monthly department meetings.

· Develop and implement standard work procedures for food safety/quality.

· Lead/assist during customer, regulatory, and third-party audits for the plant.

· Evaluate finished product as needed to provide direction for release, disposal, or rework.

· Utilize software systems to generate product specific reports as well as specialized reports or functions.

· Perform statistical analysis of data.

· Promote and drive Quality at the source.

· Investigate root cause for Quality nonconformance.

· Assist with Customer visits and requests.

· Assist with Corporate visits and requests.

· Perform projects as directed by Operations Manager.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
