We have recently expanded our capabilities as a single source supplier by adding a Mechanical Services Division as well as becoming a Misc. Steel manufacturer. These new services will reduce construction costs and eliminate coordination with multiple suppliers and subcontractors. Our focus will be to enhance the services provided to our General Contractor network nationwide. AES has 4 different fabrication facility locations nationwide to assist our customers and reduce their freight cost and shipment lead times.
Job Description
We are seeking a diligent Purchasing Agent who will play a crucial role in keeping our operations running smoothly. In this role, you will be involved with procuring supplies, materials, and equipment essential for our daily operations. Your day will involve ensuring that everything we need is bought at the right price and delivered right on time.
What You Will Be Doing
- Ensure the timely delivery of supplies, materials, and equipment.
- Verify specifications of purchase request and obtain prices and delivery.
- Place orders with our approved vendors, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage inventory records, invoices, and material requests.
- Keep tidy records of correspondence, inventory updates, invoices, and purchase orders.
- Track orders to guarantee delivery in accurate quantities and within the expected timeframe.

Qualifications
- Buying experience required.
- Indirect buying experience preferred.
- High school diploma or a combination of education and experience.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work in a fast paced work environment
