Role Summary:

The market sector proposal manager will coordinate and at times manage the full development, writing, editing, production, and proofing of proposals, statement of qualifications, presentations, resumes, project descriptions, and related marketing/proposal materials within the LEO A DALY brand standards.

The market sector proposal manager must work harmoniously with business development leads, market sector leaders, architects, engineers, construction managers, and management staff to develop marketing/proposal materials that clearly demonstrate the value proposition & differentiators of LEO A DALY against competitors in that market sector. This role oversees large volumes of information and requires the understanding of industry issues and standards and must strategically connect tactical marketing elements to the firm’s larger initiative goals.

Responsibilities

Scope of Role: 

• Support market sector and business development efforts, 80% of your time, ensuring all responses clearly articulate the LEO A DALY value proposition to the market sector. Serve as the strategic marketing advisor and response manager.
• Support LEO A DALY studio-level market sector marketing and communications priorities across digital marketing channels, public relations support and field marketing efforts, approximately 20% your you time, balancing the messaging priorities of new business, major initiatives, firm culture, and talent opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Process inbound RFP, RFI & RFQ requests by way of to lead & support the strategic development of the deliverable.
  • Attend and advise in LEO A DALY Go/No Go milestone.
  • Serve as the strategic marketing advisor on the proposal narrative, value proposition, positioning, and competitive differentiators to position LEO A DALY as the clear lead in project award process.
  • Ensure all response materials are on time, on budget and error free
  • Ensure all response materials are archived & tagged within Deltek Vantagepoint knowledge management system and the LEO A DALY drives.
• Manage, with little to no oversight, the proposal creation for the total response package, as assigned: coordinating creative services, copy, data, SME interviews, subconsultant materials, proposal delivery and interview strategy and prep, and more if applicable to the response.
  • Attend proposal related meetings/presentations for the purposes of response coordination, strategic advice, and team communication. Personally responsible for notes and next steps of all meeting attendance.
  • Research, write, edit, and proof copy for proposals, presentations, reports, statements of qualifications, white papers, and other related marketing materials of non-technical nature, as assigned.
    • Review technical copy from SMEs for error, clarity, quality, compliance and key messaging.
  • Consistently monitor and maintain competitive landscape matrix.
    • Inform and educate marketing and business development team members of new competitors within niche and mass markets.
  • Coordinate content for LEO A DALY intranet (The Hub), leoadaly.com and other digital channels and/or digital collateral, as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications or related field
• Five to ten years of experience in A/E/C industry producing proposals
• Proficiency in use and application of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) Microsoft Office and CRM program (Deltek preferred).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong composition and editing skills. Ability to write compelling prose for a variety of uses and audiences. AP Style required.
• Process oriented
• Experience in Commercial, Hospitality, Workplace, Venues and/or Senior Living
• Strong interpersonal and client management skills
• Strong data management skills
• Detail oriented with a focus on internal and external client follow-up and satisfaction
• Ability to effectively prioritize a series of tasks to allow for efficient completion of assignment, with minimal supervision
• Solid business acumen, management, and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of personnel, including management staff and support staff.
• Passion for what you do and a drive to educate your stakeholders on the power of marketing.
• Skill to connect the dots across organizational, strategic, and other business unit objectives and projects to the business unit for which you are assigned.
• Intermediate level Adobe Creative Suite skills (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
