LEAD SCHEDULER
JOB PURPOSE:
The lead is responsible for workload assignments in the absence of a site supervisor to help prevent the creation of personal services; the lead duties are not to exceed 25% of the monthly duty time. The contractor lead shall act as the liaison between the Government and the Contractor. Any additional duties will be defined at the TO level.
Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to the production schedule. Duties include reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules; conferring with department supervisors to determine the progress of work and completion dates; and compiling reports on the progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides scheduling/ services to production, management, and planning
- customers as they relate to cost, schedule, and performance factors.
- Prepares production plans for depot maintenance operations through the compilation of customer and production requirements.
- Advises supply and production activities on material requirements, production schedules, due dates, worker hours required for production operations, the status of work in progress, and shop capacity.
- Expedites jobs in progress, monitors, records, and reports on the status of production activities.
- Identifies and resolves workload discrepancies and problem areas.
- Prepares documentation and inputs to management information systems to support workloads.
- Works under the limited supervision of a senior staff member.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experienced in production methods and procedures, materials, and planning for the future or immediate production control for overhaul or repair of complex products.
- Experienced in alleviating production delays, scheduling conflicts, lack of sufficient materials, and other production variables.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's Degree or PME in a related field or a combination of work experience
- and years of service.
EXPERIENCE:
- Journeyman level position.
Minimum of 3 years of experience providing scheduling/ services to production, management, and planning customers as they relate to cost, schedule, and performance factors.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Active Security clearance
