The Leonardo DRS Land Electronics business provides C4I Network computing and integrated situational awareness, as well as state-of-the-art embedded diagnostics, vehicle power management and combat vehicle integration products and services.
- Involved with the design, development, analysis, testing and debugging of computer software applications and/or systems.
- May use computer-aided engineering and or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments
- Knowledge and experience using C/C software in real-time operating systems, scripting languages and kernel development
- Support engineering with routine engineering duties and/or hands-on tasks
- Review project instructions and drawings to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment, nature of technical problem and possible solutions
- Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified electrical and/or mechanical components or assemblies for products
- Under direction, design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems and subsystems
- Analyze test results related to the design and test objectives and adjusts equipment to bring within specification; record these test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test methods
- Assist in the creation of documentation to maintain equipment
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
- Assist in the development of plant layouts, manufacturing methods and process improvements
- Must be actively enrolled in a 4 year undergraduate or a Masters program, preferably in Computer Engineering or Software Engineering
- Have completed at least 2 years of college with a 3.0 GPA at the time of application
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to solve complex problems using your natural curiosity.
- Work effectively as a member of a team or on individual tasks.
