Overview The Maintenance Electro-Mechanics is responsible to support production department in the form of electrical and mechanical service, as well as to participate in the Preventive Maintenance program to ensure equipment is ready for operation. In addition, he/she is responsible to participate in the continuous improvement of the equipment and processes. The Maintenance Electro-Mechanics will need to demonstrate, promote and exemplify the Company’s Core Values in Health & Safety, People, Quality / Food Safety and Growth. Key Responsibilities Install, examine, troubleshoot, replace and repair mechanical and electrical components for equipment and plant systems / fixtures. Ensure defects are found and eliminated and asset health is improved Must be able to read manuals, blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly Work with the Maintenance Department to create / Improve Preventive Maintenance plans and schedules. Active in recording data in CMMS system. Ensuring daily adherence to the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations. Evaluating hazards, verification and description of measures and procedures that should be taken to achieve a safe work environment and to comply with Environmental and Health and Safety standards and Regulations Ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment in Food Industry Take direction from Maintenance Department Group Leader / Leader regarding daily tasks Other related duties, as assigned Knowledge and Skills Single or dual licensed Industrial millwright (433A) and Industrial Electrical (442A) A minimum of 3 years industrial millwright experience preferably in the food or beverage industry with automation Familiarity with electrical /mechanical industrial installations, troubleshooting and repairs Capable of reading electrical drawings, manuals, parts drawing Formal education in PLC logic or automation and trouble shooting Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, able to use computer CMMS system Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal Must be available for Overtime What PDC offers Group employee insurance program Pension plan with employer matching Reimbursement of certain fitness and sports activities expenses Reimbursement for a professional degree Continuous training and professional development Corporate values that promote respect, listening, integrity, creativity and innovation Working Conditions Available to work a flexible shift schedule including weekends as required to support the operational needs of a cyclical manufacturing operation during both peak and low seasons.
