What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at Level Resources?
A locally owned specialty food development and manufacturing company is searching for a motivated and accomplished Controller. The organization is well established but maintains a startup mentality and drive, with an emphasis on growth, and development of products, relationships and industry excellence. The organization has experienced significant growth and strives for a candidate who will be an asset and voice in the next phase of their journey. Duties for the position will consist of the following:
- Prepare financial reports
- Reconcile accounts
- AR management, AP management, Order Entry, and GL Entry
- Financial auditing for month end, year end and annualized reports
- Financial forecasting
- Coordinate with operations team
- Proper use and compliance of GAAP
- Participation with Senior Leadership in discussions involving company initiatives, direction and special projects
- Critical part of high level thinking team within organization
- Prepare tax statements
- Submit sales tax reports and submission to various states
In order to be considered for the opportunity, qualified candidates can be expected to have the following skills or experiences:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting (CPA )
- Previous experience working in accounting in a manufacturing setting
- Previous participation in leadership decisions and organizational initiatives
- 5 years experience in an accounting position
- Prior financial analysis and reporting
- Previous experience with multi state sales tax reporting and submission
