What You'll Do:
- Responsible for administrative onboarding tasks: scheduling orientation sessions, new hire communications and HRIS setup, sending out swag and facilitating orientation.
- Ensure compliance with all state, local and federal laws regarding background check and I-9 verification, and required trainings.
- Consulting with our third party vendor to ensure smooth onboarding experience for new hires in Canada.
- Serve as contact for employee questions regarding facilities, events, and other people related matters.
- Update HRIS system with employee changes (i.e. home address, manager, salary, job levels etc.)
- Process payroll and collaborate with Compliance Manager on submitting state tax registration.
- Responsible for administrative offboarding tasks: removal from HRIS system, schedule exit interviews, cross functional coordination.
- Scheduling and coordinating training sessions.
- Keep information in People wiki pages up to date and accurate.
- Responsible for completing verification of employment letters for employees.
- Develop template communications for employees.
- Contribute to special projects as requested.
- Point of contact for our NY Office employees and vendors. Coordinating service requests, addressing operational needs, communicating and ensuring compliance with office policies.
Who You Are:
- Experience in a People Operations, Office Coordination or Events management capacity
- Able to work from our NYC office up to 5 days per week
- Experience with HRIS/Payroll systems and discreetly handling sensitive/confidential employee information
- Highly organized individual with great attention to detail who thrives when managing multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
