Job Description
Toronto Research Chemicals (TRC) is a key strategic portfolio within LGC Standards with more than 80,000 products in the research tools and analytical standards markets, and more than 250 experienced MSc and PhD chemists with unique chemical synthesis capabilities. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who is strategic, customer-focused, scientific and commercially-savvy to collaborate with range of internal stakeholders and deliver aggressive business performance. The Senior Product Manager for the TRC portfolio is accountable for developing the product strategy roadmap, building the New Product Development pipeline, managing the lifecycle of the TRC portfolio, list pricing and building an inorganic pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for building a 5-year TRC product strategy roadmap, including organic and inorganic initiatives.
- Collaborate with Technology Development, Market Development, Finance and Operations teams and build New Product Development roadmap.
- Collaborate with Sales, Market Development, Finance and Enterprise Data Management teams to manage product lifecycle of TRC portfolio, accountable for adding, removing, and making changes to products.
- Collaborate with Global Pricing team and finance and decide on list pricing for new products as well as annual list price changes to portfolio.
- Collaborate with Market Development, Sales, and Business Development to build Inorganic pipeline, comprising Acquisition targets, OEM and license deals.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in science-based discipline, preferably chemistry, MBA is an asset.
- 5 years’ experience in product management, ideally in the Life Sciences tools or Analytical Chemistry industry.
- Excellent problem solving, coordination and consensus building skills.
- Keenly attentive to detail with strong analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Goal orientated, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Proficient in strategic planning, market research and positioning of value propositions
- Able to motivate, problem solve, deal with ambiguity, and effectively prioritize business needs.
