What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at LHH Recruitment Solutions?
LHH is assisting our Bergen County, NJ client in their search for a Senior Accountant. The role will start out temporary, but could have potential to turn permanent for the right candidate. This position will be onsite five days per week
Job Overview:
Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Manage general ledger accounts, including monthly and year-end close processes.
Perform complex reconciliations and analysis of financial data.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Prepare and maintain schedules and documentation for audits.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes.
Monitor and ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies.
Assist with tax preparation and compliance activities.
Responsible for Fixed Asset accounting
Support special projects and other accounting-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
5 years of experience in a full cycle accounting role
NetSuite strongly preferred
MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s) required
High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
Ability to excel in a busy, fast paced environment
Pay Range: $45/hr-$50/hr
