Job Title: Accounting Clerk

Location: Baltimore, MD

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and numbers-focused with experience in accounting? We are currently seeking a dedicated Accounting Clerk to join our team in Baltimore, MD. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting various accounting functions. Responsibilities:

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable duties, including invoice processing, payment processing, and reconciliations, as well as B2B collections and vendor management.

  • Maintain accurate financial records by entering data into accounting software and spreadsheets.

  • Prepare and process employee expense reports and reimbursements.

  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations.

  • Support the preparation of financial reports and statements.

  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred. 3-4 years experience as an accounting clerk or related position may be substituted for degree.

  • Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is preferred; recent graduates with an accounting or finance degree are welcome to apply.

    • Please note: (Examples of roles that are not considered related: Retail/Restaurant/Grocery Clerk, Cashier, Customer Service Associate/Specialist, Bank Teller, Direct Care worker, Stockroom/Inventory associate)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Sage).

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.



Pay Details: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour
