Responsibilities:
- Supervise and evaluate daily accounting operations to ensure an accurate and timely monthly close.
- Assist in developing and implementing accounting systems for the timely reporting of financial data to management and ownership.
- Provide high-level analytics and support to Senior Management with financial reporting.
- Handle a range of accounting tasks, including general ledger preparation, year-end audit support, and budget and forecast activities.
- Maintain internal controls to protect company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
- Review and audit the work completed by accounting staff for quality assurance.
- Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve ongoing issues that impact organizational objectives.
- Lead employee evaluations and regularly assess team performance.
- Drive continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency in accounting operations.
Client Requirements:
- 7-10 years of experience in accounting, with 3-5 years in a management role.
- Strong knowledge of corporate accounting policies and procedures.
- In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required, while a master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.
