Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Lead to join their team in Boynton Beach on a temp-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will oversee the accounts payable team, ensure efficient processing of invoices and payments, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise and provide guidance to the accounts payable team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
- Invoice Processing: Oversee the review, verification, and processing of invoices and expense reports.
- Payment Processing: Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers via checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
- Reconciliation: Manage the reconciliation of processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
- Vendor Relations: Maintain strong relationships with vendors, addressing and resolving any discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Compliance: Ensure all accounts payable activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze accounts payable reports for management, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within the accounts payable function.
- Month-End Closing: Assist with month-end closing activities and provide necessary documentation for audits.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with accounts payable software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
