Responsibilities:
- Source and procure raw materials, ingredients, and packaging materials from approved suppliers in accordance with production schedules and quality requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and negotiate favorable terms and pricing.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, quality assurance, and inventory management teams, to forecast demand and identify procurement needs.
- Monitor market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes to anticipate potential supply chain disruptions and proactively mitigate risks.
- Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure compliance with quality, cost, and delivery targets.
- Manage inventory levels to optimize working capital while minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.
- Participate in cross-functional teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and drive cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to procurement activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of food manufacturing processes, ingredients, and packaging materials.
- Proven negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or similar certification is a plus.
