What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer position at LHH?
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to join one of our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing setting and will be responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and procure materials, supplies, and equipment for the manufacturing process.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Manage vendor relationships, including evaluating performance and ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
- Resolve any issues related to purchase orders and deliveries.
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and plan procurement activities.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Buyer in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience with ERP systems and inventory management software.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
