Job Title: Community Manager

Location: Onsite in NE Portland

Contract Duration: 2-4 months with potential for permanent hire

Hourly Rate: $24-$29 per hour

Job Description:

LHH Recruitment is seeking a Community Manager to join our property management client's team, focusing on affordable and low-income housing. The ideal candidate will have a passion for community building and a strong background in property management, particularly within the affordable housing sector. We are seeking candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment and great at handling tenant relations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the property, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all residents.
• Manage tenant relations, addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly and effectively.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, lease agreements, and property maintenance.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure timely and efficient property upkeep.
• Assist in the leasing process, including showing units, processing applications, and conducting move-in and move-out inspections.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in property management, particularly in affordable or low-income housing, is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of LIHTC regulations and compliance is a significant plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents and team members.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in property management or related fields are a plus.
