LHH is recruiting for a Controller with a high growth technology company in Southlake, TX. The Controller will be responsible for the strategic support and management of accounting, financial reporting, and auditing. This position works directly with the CFO on strategic initiatives and presenting financial information to the Board. It is a highly visible role that will build relationships across the organization and have full autonomy of the accounting department. **This position pays 175k 15% bonus and offers a hybrid work environment**
Controller responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Oversee financial accounting and reporting for multiple entities to ensure compliance with GAAP; including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Partner with FP&A and non-accounting functions to improve controls and make process enhancements
- Spearhead process improvement initiatives and strengthen SOP’s
- Work closely with external auditors in the completion of the annual audit
- Maintain SOX compliance by assisting in the development of policies and procedures
- Assess and evaluate financial reporting systems and accounting procedures to identify and implement superior internal controls
- Supervise and provide mentorship to accounting and finance staff
- Special projects as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 10 years of experience within public accounting firm or progressive industry experience
- CPA and/or MBA is preferred
- Demonstrated background with GAAP, financial reporting and technical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner
- Able to handle multiple tasks while maintaining control and order
