What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Legal Assistant position at LHH?
LHH is seeking an litigation legal assistant with insurance defense experience in New Orleans, LA. You will be responsible for drafting, formatting, and proofing correspondence and legal documents, including motions, pleadings, briefs, etc.; maintaining department records, both physically and electronically; calendaring; coordinating court dates and appearances; scheduling meetings with witnesses and other involved parties; legal research; and other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 1 - 7 year(s) of insurance defense litigation experience
- Strong computer proficiency, especially with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
- Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail
- Great communication and interpersonal skills with a helpful, no-job-too-small mindset
Salary: $70,000-$75,000/yr.
