What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance superintendent position at LHH?
Title : Mobile Maintenance Equipment Superintendent
Base Salary : 90,000-100,000
Mining / Mineral Products
- Actively monitor maintenance activities on the mobile equipment fleet through the ERP system and / or vendor software. Take corrective action for noted deficiencies promptly.
- Manage and oversee the oil analysis program for the mobile equipment fleet. Provide recommendations for corrective actions based on analysis results.
- Ensure timely and proper maintenance of each equipment piece. Take corrective action as necessary.
- Monitor spending on the mobile equipment fleet to identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with plant personnel to advise on maintenance, major component replacements / upgrades, and critical spare parts for the mobile equipment fleet.
- Collaborate with plant personnel and Mine Planning to recommend mobile equipment applications based on mining activities.
- Ensure adherence to PM schedules and timely performance.
- Work closely with OEM Dealers on repairs and rebuilds.
- Review Daily Operator Inspection forms to identify and address defects.
- Monitor telematics data analytics on mobile equipment fleet utilization, taking appropriate action on adverse trends or deficiencies.
- Utilize data insights to enhance safety and cost-effectiveness by providing information to operations, monitoring maintenance schedules, and recommending fleet optimization actions.
- Collaborate with the Procurement Department to recommend new and replacement equipment purchases and leases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and interdependent departments as necessary.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Minimum Qualifications for Success :
- Vocational degree or higher.
- Operational and maintenance knowledge of large mining mobile equipment.
- Application knowledge of industrial mineral mining relevant to heavy mobile equipment.
- Familiarity with mobile equipment vendor software.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to maintain maintenance records effectively.
- Proficiency in computer-based technologies, including databases, word processing, and spreadsheets.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and peers.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment.
