LHH is seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal with a deep understanding of Washington State family law, particularly in Clark County.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to prepare legal documentation and manage case files.
- Conduct client interviews and coordinate expert witness interviews.
- Draft legal documents, including discovery motions, affidavits, and appellate briefs.
- Investigate and respond to litigation discovery requests.
- Perform legal research and data analysis; compile and summarize findings.
- Manage 80 to 100 case files, ensuring accuracy and organization.
- Support all phases of case preparation, including discovery, trial prep, and attending trials.
- Prepare jury instructions, trial binders, and coordinate trial exhibits.
- Monitor legal fees, project status, and case budgets.
- Assist in developing office systems and procedures and support special projects as needed.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in high asset/high conflict family law cases.
- Certification from an ABA-approved paralegal program or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong research, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, G-Suite, and case management software (Centerbase preferred).
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, managing shifting priorities with enthusiasm.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive legal matters with discretion.
