What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Specialist position at LHH?
LHH is excited to partner with one of our favorite non-profit organizations on this Payroll Specialist position located in Brooklyn. The role is with a prestigious organization, working onsite on the Controller’s team, processing a high volume of payroll. This exciting opportunity is starting out as a possible temp to hire due to growth in the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing payroll for 1,000 employees
- Tracking new hires, terminations, salaries
- Answering employee inquiries regarding payroll, tax withholdings and deductions
- Assisting with W-2 processing and tax reporting
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of payroll experience preferred
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups)
- Experience with Paylocity a plus
- Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Compensation: $30-35/hr, depending on experience.
