Position: Purchasing Coordinator
Pay Rate: $36.75hr to $40hr depending on experience level
Location: Crete, Nebraska
Role Overview: As a Purchasing Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing capital project purchases from bid to delivery, ensuring that all deliverables such as design drawings, approvals, and factory acceptance tests are met per contract terms. You will also manage risk related to purchases and escalate any defined threats to the project team as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Contract Management:
- Finalize construction contracts and other related documents for the organization.
- Execute standard agreements with input from the project team and ensure consistent electronic filing.
- Develop relationships with North American and Global procurement teams to coordinate non-standard agreements.
- Purchase Order Management:
- Create and update Purchase Orders in SAP.
- Participate in negotiations led by the Global procurement team and gather necessary commercial information.
- Coordinate supplier requests for changes to terms and conditions, driving to a fully executed agreement.
- Information and Goods Flow:
- Manage the flow of information, goods, and services from equipment suppliers.
- Confirm on-time delivery of scheduled shipments and drawing deliverables.
- Validate invoice payments by ensuring purchase order milestones are complete.
- Handle internal and external communications through digital formats.
- Supplier and Client Relations:
- Develop communication strategies with suppliers to ensure proactive escalations for contract deliverables.
- Create risk mitigation or recovery plans when milestones are at risk.
- Ensure compliance with drawing submission instructions and coordinate with suppliers as needed.
- Track vendor performance metrics.
- Internal Collaboration:
- Build relationships with engineers and Project Management to communicate risks to contract milestones.
- Develop Issues Reports to drive team actions and decisions.
- Report on project procurement status to Finance, Engineering Management, and Project Management.
- Administrative Support:
- Assist with travel, meetings, and visitor arrangements for the Engineering team.
- Participate in team operational reviews and manage office-related needs and expenses, including a company-issued Purchasing card.
- 2 years of experience in purchasing.
- Strong SAP purchasing experience (SAP PO Creation preferred).
- Proficiency in Outlook, Excel (charts, graphs), PowerPoint, Teams, and Word.
- Experience with manufacturing and AutoCAD preferred; Food & Beverage or CPG industry experience is a plus.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach in fast-moving capital projects.
- Collaborative, resourceful, and positive mindset.
- Flexible with proven service orientation and strong listening skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field, or High School diploma with equivalent experience (5 years).
- 10-15% per year
