What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reconciliation Specialist position at LHH?
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking candidates for the position of Reconciliation Specialist. This is a temporary assignment for approximately 3 months, with the possibility of extension depending on workload.
As a Bank Reconciliation Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting bank reconciliations as well as investigating and resolving any discrepancies in transactions.
You will also collaborate with the property accounting team and assist senior accountants with other accounting tasks as needed.
Location
This is a hybrid role with a flexible schedule for the right candidate. The office is located in Lone Tree, CO and the ideal candidate will come into the office 2 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Conduct bank reconciliations within the first 3 days of a 5-day close period.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in transactions, including duplicated credit card transactions and chargebacks.
- Collaborate with the property accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Assist senior accountants by taking on a portion of bank reconciliations, allowing them to focus on other responsibilities.
- Utilize Excel for reconciliation processes and spend the remainder of the month researching any discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bank reconciliations and understanding of multiple moving parts within the accounting process.
- Familiarity with accounting systems, preferably Sage, and POS systems like SSM.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fluid environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly rate for this position is typically $25-35 / hr, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
