What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Clerks position at LHH?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative assistance to various departments, including handling correspondence, maintaining records, and managing office supplies.
  • Shipping Coordination: Process and manage shipments, including packaging, labeling, and ensuring timely dispatch of goods. Coordinate with shipping carriers and track deliveries to ensure on-time arrivals.
  • Order Entry & Processing: Accurately input customer orders into the system, monitor their progress, and provide status updates to customers and internal teams as necessary.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory tracking, stock replenishment, and resolving any discrepancies between inventory records and physical stock.
  • Documentation & Filing: Maintain accurate documentation related to shipping and receiving, including invoices, shipping labels, and receipts.
  • Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries related to shipments, order status, and inventory availability. Handle any issues with a customer-first approach.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, production, and accounting teams to ensure smooth operations between departments.
  • Problem Solving: Address any shipping-related issues, such as delays, damage claims, or order discrepancies, by working directly with shipping carriers and internal teams.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an administrative or shipping role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer service-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Pay Details: $17.00 to $18.50 per hour
