LHH is seeking an experienced SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) Consultant for a long-term contract assignment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring organization's compliance with SOX regulations and internal controls. This position requires a thorough understanding of financial reporting, internal auditing, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing internal controls and processes to ensure compliance with SOX regulations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to identify control gaps and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Design and execute testing procedures to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting.
- Document findings, including deficiencies and remediation plans, in detailed reports for management and external auditors.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process and facilitate the resolution of audit findings.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CIA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in SOX compliance, internal auditing, or public accounting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex financial processes and controls.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
