How You Make An Impact:
This is a HYBRID position reporting into the Uniondale, NY. Office.
The Business Analyst Provider Relations PNV Reporting will be responsible for participating in the entire life cycle of activities necessary to support the successful delivery of the Provider Relations and Provider Services departments data and analytic deliverables. These activities include, but are not limited to, working with the IT Business Analyst for requirements gathering, design activities, development, testing, preparation of data deliverables, analyzing data and validating results for accuracy before delivery.
- Assist in the design, development, testing and maintenance of analytic data and presentation toolsets based on requirements for all departmental data and analytic deliverables, including information from both internal and external data sources
- Maintain ongoing quality assurance of assigned data deliverables
- Analyze and report on provider network data, including competitive network disruption reports
- Work with IT Business Analysts to develop reports and dashboards to support Provider Relations department on reoccurring and ad hoc reporting projects
- Develop reports to support provider recruitment and service needs within the department, including highly available and up-to-date provider recruitment tracking dashboards and logs
- Update and maintain leased provider network files on a regular basis; assist with inquiries and identify and report issues or challenges to management and vendors as appropriate
- Analyze and make technical recommendations as they pertain to reports or processes to improve efficiencies
- Provide support to the Provider Relations and Provider Services departments for Microsoft applications as needed
What You Need:
Education and/or Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years experience reporting and analyzing healthcare-related data preferred
- BA/BS degree or a combination of equivalent education and experience
- Experience gathering business requirements to develop analysis and reports
- Demonstrated experience with SQL Queries and Visualization Tools (Tableau, PowerBI, QlikView, etc.)
- Healthcare/Dental Provider Relation Network reporting experience
Specific Skills/Knowledge:
- Effective time-management, organizational and prioritization skills required
- Strong written and oral communication skills required
- Advanced analytical skills to support reporting and trend analysis, including the ability to define problems, collect relevant data, establish facts, validate results and draw valid conclusions required
- Aptitude for technical troubleshooting required
- Intermediate SQL skills preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, OneNote, Access) required
- Experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence tools, such as SSMS, SSIS, SSAS, PowerBI, SharePoint and advanced Excel functionality (Pivot Tables, VBA, complex formulas)
- Knowledge of HSP or Meditrac a plus
- Knowledge of GIS tools (such as GeoCoder, Quest Analytics or GeoNetwork) a plus
Environment and/or Physical Factors:
Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.Sedentary work involves extensive sitting, typing, close range vision most of the time.
